Pertex® Quantum Pro

Exactingly constructed from the finest of yarns, Quantum Pro maximises warmth by trapping still air and allowing down insulation to fully loft. By combining a tightly woven face fabric with a microporous coating, the result is a high level of water resistance while remaining lightweight, soft and breathable.

This highly technical fabric is made from NetPlus® - 100% post-consumer recycled fishing nets. Positive impact without performance compromise.

NetPlus® is made by Bureo®. It’s their signature material produced from 100% post-consumer recycled fishing nets, reducing one of the world’s most harmful forms of ocean plastic pollution.

The material properties of NetPlus® mirror those of virgin plastics, meaning there is no sacrifice in durability, performance or longevity of the garments it goes on to create.

Pertex® Quantum Pro

Precisely constructed from incredibly fine yarns, Pertex® Quantum fabrics are designed to trap still air and improve the efficiency of insulation. Pertex® Quantum Pro combines a tightly woven face fabric with a microporous coating to deliver a very high level of water resistance, whilst remaining lightweight, soft and breathable.

Bio-Based Nylon 6,10: a polymer blend using oil from the castor bean plant replaces fossil fuel derived materials with renewables, whilst reducing CO2 emissions.

Quantum Pro fabrics created using Diamond Fuse yarns have enhanced snag and abrasion resistance, remaining down proof over extended wash and wear cycles.

DownTek™ PFC-Free Down

DownTek™ PFC-Free is a perfluorocarbon-free water repellent down that uses a bluesign® approved chemistry to achieve an unprecedented level of water repellency. When exposed to moisture, DownTek™ PFC-Free stays dry 50 times longer than regular down. DownTek™ PFC-Free contains no NPEO, APEO or PFAS. Our water-repellent treatment is also applied in a water bath and not sprayed on, ensuring a block against environmental run-off.

Jöttnar uses this hydrophobic nanotechnology in all of its down jackets, ensuring insulation in all conditions - even when damp.
