Lovely Jacket

Bought the Asger in a sale and got the light grey colour. Initially the colour was a compromise but I have grown to really like it. The jacket is lightweight, fairly windproof and shrugs off a shower with no issues. I have a 44” chest and large fits perfectly. I’m beginning to really like this jacket. Going to be looking at more Jottna kit in the future. Very happy with my purchase.

The jacket is perfect for that fall crisp out on the trail. Excellent water vapor permeability whilst providing warmth and effectively blocking driving winds. It’s four stars as a large is much smaller than my other large items made by Jottnar. I contacted customer service and will have to pay return shipping for exchange (nearly $50 to UK). I gave it to my wife and ordered XL. Beware of sizing.

A first time Jöttnar purchase!

I’m hooked…. Best fleece I’ve bought for ages. Does what it says - lightwieght, breathable and great in mixed weather conditions. Have been trialing it on early morning coastal walks with the dog. Next stop the Lakes. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Outstanding for scrambling and mountaineering

I’ve worn my Asger for scrambling in Snowdonia, winter mountaineering in the Highlands of Scotland, on Island Peak in Nepal and for climbing 4000m peaks in Switzerland. This piece of kit is consistently reliable and has never let me down. I wear a lightweight base underneath and never get cold, nor do I feel the wind. It's lightweight and packs away easily when its not needed. The adjustable hood fits easily over a climbing helmet and the pockets are well positioned so they can be accessed when wearing a climbing harness and rucksack.

A great bit of kit - I wouldn't be without it.
