Men's Extreme Weather Technical Hard Shell

OUR LIGHTEST, MOST BREATHABLE, SEVERE CONDITION WINTER SHELL JACKET YET.

Anda’s powerful feature set is crafted to withstand the savage winter elements, compacted into a lighter, more breathable jacket built from a new iteration of our proprietary 3-layer SKJOLDR™ fabric. A tough-as-hell hard shell material whose name derives from the Old Norse word for shield.

Our product specialists re-engineered SKJOLDR™ for this special 2024 jacket to provide enhanced two-way breathability and a lower overall garment weight, whilst maintaining full wind and waterproofing alongside its renowned strength and durability properties.

Features include: an integrated RECCO® Rescue System diode and antenna-based passive transponder; upgraded two-way pit zips for temperature regulation; helmet compatible hood patterning for excellent visibility and unimpeded head movement; internal valuables/smartphone pocket; forearm lift pass/map pocket; large inner dump pocket to stash gloves or keep ski skins warm; Cohaesive™ hem adjusters for simplified cord management; and Jöttnar's signature anti-snag hem cords to avoid tangling with gear.

Very capable yet also comfortable

This jacket kept me warm in very cold (down to minus 22) and challenging conditions in the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan searching for Snow Leopards.

A quality piece of kit.

I've had a few rain jackets in my lifetime and nothing has quite compared to the Anda jacket by Jottnar. The piece itself exudes quality and craftmanship - from the hooded pockets for the zips to the soft lining for the nape of the neck, you can tell alot of thought has been put into it. It's well worth the pricetag and I expect to have this jacket for years with many an expedition in it.

Anda Jacket / Fenrir '23 Jacket

Definitely the most waterproof piece of kit I've ever had, comfortable to wear, windproof and breathable.
Would have been nice with hand pockets but does exactly what it says it does.
I took a medium in the Anda which fits well and also a medium in the Fenrir 23 which was too small, however, I am giving the company 5 stars because there was no fuss in getting a refund - so a good, trustworthy company to buy from.

Outstanding performance in the harshest of weather

Having just returned from a weeks’ ski mountaineering in the Alps, I can attest to the quality and performance of the Anda. On the climbs, the jacket was simple to vent (even with gloves) and the massive chest pockets easy consumed gloves, hat, snood and glasses. Despite the high winds and subzero temperatures the windproof quality was superb- allowing me to get away with just a single thermal layer underneath - removing the need for a transition stop before the decent. Zips and toggles were easily to use with mittens and the hood large enough to cover my helmet- whilst retaining visibility. In sum - an excellent jacket with as ever outstanding quality!

Thanks Duncan M. Steve here, co-founder. Delighted that the Anda looked after you so well in its home environment especially - sub zero temps and high winds in the Alps. Hope you had a great trip.
